Expert high speed test and validation engineer leads technical domain of single and multiple strategic development projects from initial ideation to final production. Responsibilities lead a team of engineers to perform validation, dvt, and qualification testing on high‑speed cable assemblies. Establish testing requirements for new products based on electrical and software specifications. Develop high‑speed cable test systems and fixtures from conception to manufacturing deployment. Design test system architecture, create system diagrams, develop test software, build hardware, and validate into manufacturing. Create actionable recommendations based upon design reviews and product specifications. Make data‑driven decisions about product functionality and areas for improvement. Required skills / experience bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering; master’s degree preferred. Minimum of 10 years of work experience in high‑speed test engineering or hardware roles. Experience with cable/cable assembly designs (high‑speed twin‑ax cables, direct‑attach copper (dac) cables, active copper cables). Subject matter expert in high‑speed test equipment (digital sampling oscilloscope, vector network analyzer, bit error rate tester, tdr, pattern generators, power supplies, etc.). Strong analytical capabilities to interpret test/lab data, identify issues, and provide solutions. Experience in project leadership across design, development, and manufacturing teams. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a global environment; fluent in english and able to collaborate across geographies. Highly motivated, quick learner, and able to work independently. Python experience. Nice to have skills / experience familiarity with signal conditioning techniques (equalization, amplification, firs, ctles). Familiarity with sff/ieee specifications for high‑speed cable assemblies. Familiarity with pam4/8 and other higher‑order modulation techniques. Six sigma methodologies or other strong data analytics background – a plus.
