are you a proactive planner with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for operational excellence? We're looking for a master scheduler to lead production planning efforts in nuevo laredo, ensuring that manpower, machinery, and materials are aligned to meet customer demand and maximize efficiency.
this role is critical to synchronizing supply chain activities with sales, engineering, and procurement strategies—driving performance across the full production cycle.
key responsibilities
strategic planning
* develop and maintain the master production plan
* align material and capacity planning with demand forecasts, service level targets (pdsl, rdsl), and backlog metrics
production coordination
* schedule, monitor, and adjust production plans based on customer priorities and resource availability
* ensure alignment with contractual commitments
resource allocation
* assign personnel, equipment, and materials efficiently to meet production goals
* optimize throughput and minimize bottlenecks
cross-functional collaboration
* partner with sales, marketing, engineering, and procurement to validate plans and manage design changes
* coordinate supplier transitions and material readiness
engineering change management
* maintain accurate material orders for product families undergoing design updates
* define effective and termination dates for modules and structures
lead time analysis
* assess material availability and determine extended lead time requirements for finished goods
planning parameters optimization
* review and update safety stock, kanban levels, and min/max thresholds to ensure supply continuity
reporting & metrics
* compile and analyze production reports (volume, material usage, performance indicators) to support decision-making
team leadership
* may lead and mentor production planning staff
* foster collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
requirements
* bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, business administration, logistics, or related field
* minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing scheduling and production planning
* bilingual: fluent in english and spanish
* strong proficiency in erp/mrp systems (sap, oracle, or equivalent)
* advanced analytical skills to optimize plans across constraints (capacity, staffing, material availability)
* highly organized, proactive, and goal-oriented
* strong negotiation, teamwork, and time management abilities
