as an area manager, you will have the opportunity to exercise people-focused leadership while mastering the tools, processes, and operations created by the most customer-centric company on earth. You will be a part of defining the future of online retail from a distribution warehouse environment, while motivating, mentoring, and coaching your team towards the common goal. As a servant leader, you will ensure that your team of amazon associates has all the tools needed to succeed in their tasks during a shift, engaging with them to maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, and performance.
key job responsibilities
1. lead, manage, and develop a team of 20 to 45 amazon associates.
2. support all safety programs and osha compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates.
3. partner with the management team to establish and maintain quality control standards.
4. achieve performance metrics to deliver customer satisfaction.
5. promote and implement process improvements.
6. communicate policies to associates and act as the primary information source for the team, maintaining compliance, consistency, and taking corrective action when needed.
7. create, manage, and support recognition and communication programs.
8. ensure procedures are followed for building security and product loss prevention.

must be able to:
1. stand/walk for up to 10 hours.

3. access all areas of building (ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation).
4. regularly bend, lift, stretch, reach both below the waist and above the head.
5. lift and move items.

basic qualifications
- 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
- bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of amazon (blue badge/fte) experience.
- work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
preferred qualifications
- 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience.
