about us
practice ppe exams is an online education company that helps aspiring engineers in canada get licensed faster with nppe/cba prep and related courses.
we currently spend ≈ cad $15k/month across google, bing, meta, and adroll with strong blended cac and healthy roas. We're looking for a full‐time performance marketer to own and scale all paid acquisition.
you will work directly with the founder and a small remote team. We keep things simple, data‐driven, and low‐drama.
you will:
* own all paid traffic: google ads, bing, meta (fb/ig), adroll/display; test linkedin/reddit once core channels are maxed.
* run strategy + execution end‐to‐end: campaign structure, budgets, audiences (cold/warm/hot), weekly test plans.
* build and maintain tracking & reporting using ga4, segmetrics, and utms; report blended cac, roas, and volume weekly.
* design and run a systematic creative testing process (we provide copy + designer; you define hypotheses, variants, and placement).
* set up and optimize warm & hot audiences (site visitors, engagers, checkout, email list) with messaging matched to awareness level.
* coordinate with our designer to brief new ads (static, video, display sizes) and ensure fast iteration.
* join a short daily stand‐up at 9:00 a.m. Et and send a concise weekly loom + one‐pager with "what we tested / winners / losers / next tests."
you are:
* a t‐shaped performance marketer with 3+ years running multi‐channel campaigns (google + meta + at least one more).
* comfortable with unit economics: cac, ltv, payback period, margin, and can explain decisions in those terms.
* strong with numbers and detail: you can show before/after results on at least two accounts you've helped scale.
* organized and responsive: you hit deadlines, show up to calls 1–2 minutes early, and communicate proactively if something changes.
* located in canada, the us, or an americas time zone with reliable overlap from 8:30–12:30 a.m. Et monday–friday.
nice to have (not required):
* experience with online courses, lead gen, or exam prep.
* experience with engineering / professional licensing audiences.
* comfortable creating simple ad variations yourself (basic video cuts, trimming hooks, adding subtitles, simple image edits in capcut/descript/canva).
* able to brief designers and editors clearly when more advanced work is needed.
compensation
* cad $3,000–$5,000 per month (approx. Usd $2,200–$3,700), depending on experience,
* performance bonus: up to 25% of base tied to hitting agreed cac / volume targets after an onboarding period.
