who you’ll work with
bain has formalized industry and capability “practices” which are integral to how bain wins and delivers results to its clients. The americas private equity practice is a scale and high-growth part of bain’s business, supporting investor clients to drive their own businesses, make the right investment decisions, and create value in their portfolio businesses.
where you’ll fit within the team
* this position will be integral to enabling the success of a private equity sector, directly involved with defining and executing against key strategic initiatives for the sector, driving commercial impact, and providing support to practice operations.
* positions available for healthcare sector and telecom, media and technology sector.
* the position will work closely with the global peg practice director, as well as the private equity sector leads.
* multi-stakeholder collaboration across practice operations and talent, regional client heads, and private equity partners is essential.
what you’ll do
* overview:
o key point-of-contact within the practice vertical supporting day-to-day operations.
o own and drive long term initiatives with our most senior vps.
o directly manage, coordinate, and prioritize efforts across short-term asset building activities.
* execute against vertical strategic initiatives and imperatives.
* coordinate with sector leads on strategic plans to increase execution against strategic plans.
* commercial (selling):
o mobilize against near-in commercial opportunities; provide link to capabilities and industries.
o drive systematic review of priority client opportunities within the vertical.
o develop materials on key market trends; track announced deals, deal outcomes, and bain involvement.
o maintain and prioritize list of potential publicly announced targets based on market analysis.
o support pitch materials for high-priority targets and bake-offs.
o coordinate with aag and pegar to recommend the highest priority tools and analytics.
* coordination and comms:
o ensure coordination across practice, regions, and capability interlocks.
o support and drive content for sector, practice, and annual planning meetings.
o maintain list of bain and external experts on key sub-segments.
about you
required:
* bachelor’s degree and 6-9 years management consulting / private equity experience or master's degree and 5-6 years of management consulting / private equity experience.
* core skills:
o ability to multi-task and continuously re-prioritize as things come up.
o ability to drive complex content value creation work and lead analysis in a fast-paced environment.
o superior communication skills with senior people in the firm and excellent business acumen.
