Founded in 2013, plantlogic has since developed business operations in 4 countries in asia and the americas. Our objective is to provide innovative growing systems to help our customers build profitable modern farms.

with strong growth and expansions in place, we are currently seeking a mature and stable individual to be our field sales representative - americas and join our team in guadalajara, jalisco, mexico. The field sales representative is a senior level position with an opportunity to promote plantlogic's mature products to existing and new customers in mexico, canada, us, central and south america, and work with our r&d to develop innovative solutions based the mexican market's special needs.

responsibilities:

revenue generation through field sales:

* establish strong relationships with complex accounts, deeply understanding their needs, and guide them with the solutions that best fit their needs with a successful close win sale.
* lead generation and qualification through farm visits, trade shows, customer referrals, phone calls, etc.
* deeply know your own territory strategy including timing and seasons, regions, crops and key customers to support sales forecasts, production planning and promotion activities.
* confidently communicate and negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.

support company development:

* deeply understand the growers' special needs, then clearly communicate this with the inside sales partner and other teams to improve company strategy for this region.
* through field sales activities, conduct exploration to find and identify problems and opportunities growers have that plantlogic may be able to solve, then communicate with team to improve current or create new products.
* know the competing and substitute products, services, and sales strategies relative to the growers' needs. Know precisely why we win and lose sales.
* in person support of product installations, follow field trials, to ensure quality rapid follow-up on any opportunities for improvements.

qualifications:

* minimum education ba or bs degree (agronomy, horticulture or related), or deep experience working with substrate production.
* fluent english and spanish speaker and writer. Able to clearly communicate complex concepts and executive reports in writing.
* excellent english reading/writing ability to be able to nurture leads remotely (email, sms, whatsapp, etc.).
* a stable working history so employer can confidently invest in training, skills development and education.
* 3 years or more sales experience related to substrate agriculture.
* able to travel throughout the americas up to 65% of time.
* possess driver's license, passport and us visa valid.
* have strong task management habits, able to explain clearly how to ensure follow up to commitments.

better if you have:

* experience using crm system to report sales activities, sales pipeline progress, etc.
* experience problem solving and daily communication with international teams.
* product development experience.

others

compensation: base pay + sales commission + benefits by law.

working time: 09:00‐18:00, monday to friday. Flexible hours may be required to work with asia teams.
