misión surf was born out of misión méxico's passion for the ocean.
we are a not-for-profit hotel and surf school with a sister home and a sister community project in tapachula.
since opening misión surf, we've hosted community classes, surf workshops, yoga retreats and we even care for animals.
misión surf is a place for people to enjoy whilst giving back to the wider community, and supporting our mission to give love, life, and hope.
role context
proven experience in hotel management.

*responsibilities*:
*mision surf admin*:
*expected*:
to manage and grow community outreach opportunities and programs at misión surf, connecting with the local community and international volunteers.
to research and manage promotional and marketing opportunities for misión surf, with the aim to increase bookings (local and international) and increase monthly revenue for misión surf.
assist with gathering social media content for misión surf promotion, and managing social media accounts.
assist the management team with reporting misión surf expense and income accounts and creating financial budgets
research and source international and local groups, individuals, and businesses willing to run or finance misión surf outreach workshops and programs.
*youth & community*:
*when possible*:
support with visits from misión mexico youth which are every monday plus extra events, holidays and celebrations.
to supervise, ensuring their safety and wellbeing is cared for at all times.
to ensure community classes are running well.
*mision surf hospitality & hotel*:
*expected*:
to manage current staff members & volunteers as well as provide training.
to organise and carry out the weekly shop for food/cleaning products.
maintain the mision surf vehicle, keeping it filled with gasoline and taking it to a mechanic when necessary.
to manage all phone and walk-in hospitality bookings and enquiries, acting as the first point of contact for bookings, and looking after visitors.
to keep the misión surf grounds up to the high standards; maintaining the generator, water system, hotel rooms and grounds.
to maintain and clean the pool.
*when required*:
assist with mealtimes, food prep and cooking.

valid 'working with children check' and undergo a criminal records check prior to engagement.
