we are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of development engineering.
role purpose
the development engineering role is responsible for developing secure and effective technology solutions through iterative software development, aligned with the solution design, to meet customer needs and ensure continuous improvement.
main activities
* design and engineer software focusing on customer/user experience.
* maintain intermediate knowledge in mainframe systems, specifically vision plus and credit card management.
* collaborate within a feature team to develop software, scripts, and tools for banking products and services.
* design, develop, and deploy applications meeting load, performance, security, and resilience standards.
* automate build, testing, and deployment processes across environments for high-quality output.
* coordinate with global teams, managing project schedules and resources.
* ensure compliance with controls, standards, and data quality in systems of record.
* guarantee service resilience, sustainability, and recovery objectives are met.
* automate ci/cd pipelines within a devops culture for continuous improvement.
* stay updated on current tools, cybersecurity, and data privacy regulations.
* use tools like jira, confluence, gpdm, clarity, microsoft apps, among others.
requirements
at least intermediate skills in the following:
* leading end-to-end delivery of high-impact projects in a fast-paced financial environment.
* 3 years experience with mainframe systems and 2 years with vision plus.
* translating business requirements into technical specifications.
* managing project timelines, budgets, and risks.
* providing technical leadership and guiding engineering teams.
* applying agile and hybrid project management methodologies.
* ensuring compliance with financial regulations and security standards.
* monitoring kpis and reporting to stakeholders.
* fostering cross-functional collaboration.
* english proficiency at intermediate to advanced level.
