Corporate energy strategy development
we are seeking a strategic thinker to develop and implement a comprehensive corporate strategy for electric energy supply. The ideal candidate will align our global operations with the future in action program and financial targets by 2025 and 2030.
the successful candidate will drive a transition to low-carbon energy technologies, reduce indirect carbon emissions, and achieve energy cost stability through:
* developing a global scope 2 emissions reduction roadmap with regional cement operations to reach close to 65% renewable energy at optimal cost.
* mobilizing the cement operations global network's low carbon energy track to deploy and adopt low-carbon energy generation projects and third-party energy supply contracts.
* reviewing, evaluating, and defining electrification and green hydrogen production technologies for testing, piloting, or deployment in cement operations to achieve scope 1 and scope 2 decarbonization strategy by 2025 & 2030.
key responsibilities
* promote knowledge transfer and best practices between operations regarding energy procurement, project development, and efficient energy use.
* achieve specific emissions of no more than 24 kgco2/t by 2030.
* reach a clean energy share of 65% by 2030.
* monitor regulatory developments and energy markets across all jurisdictions.
* develop a skilled energy team across operations acting as one entity.
* provide visibility on best-in-class power generation technologies, energy efficiency practices, and energy market operations.
