Project overview:

we are seeking a business operations analyst (temporary role) to support a critical collections processing improvement project. This individual will provide project management oversight, drive cross-functional coordination, and ensure the successful delivery of multiple initiatives under a fast-paced and high-impact operational environment.

the role requires a skilled operator with a strong background in business operations, agile project management, jira, and stakeholder alignment across finance and operations teams.

key responsibilities:

project management & agile execution

* serve as the operational lead and critical support for 2ic (vp of financial products), ensuring project progress and alignment across stakeholders.
* drive end-to-end agile project management processes including:
*
o pre-sprint planning
* jira board grooming during sprints (assignee management, deadline tracking, status updates, unblock support)
* sprint retrospectives and continuous improvement facilitation

initiative oversight – phase i focus areas

* support coordination between:
*
o treasury – implementation of the incoming payment tracker (lead: maggie)
* finance operations – implementation of netsuite workflows (leads: jen & anel; support: ricardo, aranxa, paola)
* support broader tiger team with drafting updates to sops and project materials in confluence (leads: tiare, alonso, carlos m)
* jira service desk setup (with oversight from vp of financial products)
* assume responsibility for triaging jira service desk:
*
o assign tickets to relevant parties based on pre-determined criteria,
* partner with ticket assignees to rapidly identify, escalate and resolve critical issues/blockers,
* host daily reconciliation stand-up call (shared responsibility with 2ic)
* send out daily email blast to stakeholder group to provide updates and insights.
* ensure timely execution and alignment across all phase 1 workstreams.
* identify project risks and bottlenecks and proactively work to resolve them.

business operations & strategy support

* identify process inefficiencies and recommend/implement improvements
* identify opportunities for system updates and optimization by observing users utilizing systems to perform their allocated tasks
* collaborate across teams to support operational execution and decision-making
* ensure consistent reporting and documentation across all initiatives

requirements

* 5+ years of experience in business operations, strategic ops, or program management roles

* hands-on experience with agile methodologies and jira

* proven success managing cross-functional projects in high-growth or fast-paced environments
* experience working with or supporting finance, treasury, or erp implementation projects (e.g., netsuite) is a plus
* excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* strong problem-solving ability with an analytical mindset
* highly organized, proactive, detail-orientated and able to work independently with minimal direction

preferred skills:

* experience with jira service desk setup and maintenance
* familiarity with
* familiarity with collections, ar/ap, or other finance operations workflows
* prior consulting or contract experience in business transformation or operational improvement projects
