position summary:
the air conditioning product manager is responsible for overseeing the complete lifecycle of ac products—from market analysis and concept development to commercialization and performance management. This role demands a strong understanding of market dynamics, strategic product planning, and effective cross-functional collaboration with r&d, sales, and marketing teams to ensure the company's product line remains innovative and competitive in the white goods sector.
key responsibilities:
1. Market insight and opportunity analysis:
* conduct thorough research on market trends, competitors, and customer behavior to identify opportunities and define product direction.
* gather and analyze customer feedback and usage data to drive continuous product enhancements.
2. Product strategy and development:
* establish clear product specifications, positioning, and target segments based on research findings.
* partner closely with the r&d team to guide new product initiatives and ensure timely, high-quality launches.
* manage all stages of product development, including drafting requirement documents, defining roadmaps, and tracking progress through each iteration.
3. Product introduction and go-to-market execution:
* design and implement comprehensive launch plans, coordinating efforts with marketing, sales, and distribution teams.
* collaborate with marketing to create promotional strategies that enhance brand presence and market penetration.
4. Product lifecycle optimization:
* monitor sales performance and market feedback to refine pricing, channel strategy, and promotional activities.
* oversee product profitability (p&l) and ensure continuous improvement across the lifecycle.
* work with customer service and technical teams to address product issues and improve user satisfaction.
5. Cross-functional leadership:
* lead cross-departmental coordination with r&d, supply chain, production, and sales to ensure successful execution of product plans.
* foster collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth handoffs between development, production, and commercialization phases.
qualifications:
* bachelor's degree or higher in electronic engineering, marketing, business administration, or a related discipline; international product management experience is a plus.
* minimum of 3 years' experience in product management within the white goods or hvac industry; air conditioning experience is strongly preferred.
* proficiency in english, with the ability to operate effectively in an international business environment.
* strong understanding of product development processes, project management, and cross-department collaboration.
* excellent analytical, organizational, and documentation skills, including the ability to develop prds and market intelligence reports.
