*position summary*
- evidence of performance in productivity, innovation, working capital and cycle-time
- identify and put in place permanent and effective technical / system solutions to problems
- working closely with the bpi team to identify and implement short and long term cost reduction and improvement initiatives.
- along with a strong technical background in engineering
- strong leadership, communication skills and demonstrated problem solving ability
*general functions/responsibilities*
- accountable for the successful completion of assigned engineering tasks and preparation of engineering deliverables
- monitor/supervise the work of less experienced process engineers and assist with training
- interface with other internal engineering disciplines (product, maintenance, npi, test, fa, etc) to ensure a coordinated design and complete engineering deliverables
- follow-up updates to all applicable processes in the plant
- size and select equipment, materials, and process systems
- assist in the preparation of engineering project proposals
- drive and deploy ecn/eco(engineering change notification to engineering change order) with ecn coordinator
- check vendor drawings to insure design accuracy and compliance with specifications
*qualifications*
- bachelor degree in engineering such as manufacturing, process, industrial or equivalent engineering discipline
- 3 years minimum experiences in process engineering
- strong written and oral communications skills (bilingual english/spanish)
- ability to persuade people
- reverse logistics experience (preferable)
- good computer skills (ms-office and ms-project)
- good team player (ability to work independently and as a team player)
- high accountability
- financial basic knowledge
- experience working with warranty reduction and value improvement initiatives preferred.
- strong analytical and experimental skills
- knowledge of continuous improvement tools; root cause analysis, 6 sigma, problem resolution teams are highly desired.
- knowledge of reliability analysis desired
- knowledge of the product development process (pdp)
