Position - Sales Manager (MUST HAVE Experience in Hotel Industry)
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Director of Sales & Hotel GM and team to ensure understanding of sales strategy and effective implementation of this strategy for the segments you are responsible for
- Provide positive and aggressive leadership to ensure maximum revenue potential
- Participate in sales calls with members of sales team to acquire new business and/or close on business
- Analyze market information by using sales systems and implement strategy to achieve the property's financial room and catering goals
- Review sales and catering guest satisfaction results to identify areas of improvement
- Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external
- Work collaboratively with off-property sales channels to ensure the property needs are being achieved and the sales efforts are complementary, not duplicative
- Execute and support the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence)
- Be a brand ambassador, ensuring the brand's voice is present in your interactions with guests and talent
- Empower your team to resolve guest issues independently and with confidence
- Work in collaboration with all heads of departments to ensure a successful hotel operation
- Identify new business to achieve personal and location revenue goals.
- Understand the overall market - competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them.
- Close the best opportunities for the location based on market conditions and location needs.
- Gain understanding of the location's primary target customer and service expectations; serves the customer by understanding their business, business issues and concerns, to offer better business solution
Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Sales and business development experience in a fast-growing, dynamic business
- Self-starter used to self-generating interest and focusing relentlessly on delivering results.
- Proven ability to find & convert deals quickly with tenacity and dedication.
- Demonstrable track record of sourcing & delivering, at pace, multiple deals of a meaningful scale.
- Self-sufficient, deal-focused and can-do mindset, willing to take risks to succeed.
- Outstanding communications skills and the ability to present a compelling narrative to a wide variety of audiences, both large & small.
- Able to work under pressure and to think independently to create interest in a proposition.
- Strong business and financial acumen to give others confidence & to give credibility to the selling process.
Note - Candidate must be willing to relocate to Cuba.
