* give molex a comparative advantage in connector manufacturing.
* collaborate with general automation and manufacturing teams.
* manage projects and vendors.
* serve as an automation specialist with outside vendors.
* act as project manager for outside vendor projects.
* help write and revise automation machine specifications.
qualifications
* availability for 5–25% travel domestically and internationally.
* bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
* minimum of 1 year of mechanical design experience.
* knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing per asme y14.5‑2009.
* knowledge of standard engineering‑grade metal, finishing and plating techniques.
* knowledge of part fabrication and design for manufacturing, including cnc, edm, injection molding, stamping, and rapid prototyping.
* experience with revision control and structured change/eco management processes.
* working knowledge of complex tolerance analyses.
* strong verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in english.
