The last mile optimization manager acts as a key liaison among delivery station leadership, delivery programs, finance, planning, and support teams, ensuring smooth communication and alignment on operational goals. By implementing productivity initiatives and defining performance metrics, the team strives for continuous improvement in on-road execution, maintaining high service levels while maximizing efficiency and cost-effectiveness across the last-mile operation.key responsibilitiesmanage delivery of amazon orders directly to customers, aiming for optimal efficiency in on-road operations.maintain daily relationships with multiple delivery stations and stakeholders.identify and resolve gaps between performance and goals.collaborate with partners such as planning, fulfillment experience, finance, business coaches, operations, aces, hubdp, edsp, and topology.determine optimal channel allocation volume with otr planning, finance, and delivery programs.manage rim-scheduling to ensure optimal fleet design.establish last-mile cost mechanisms with regional ops and finance.provide training and knowledge sharing during otr managers' academy.serve as the regional poc for delivery per paid hours (dpph) to enhance operational excellence.lead on-road evaluation projects to ensure alignment with strategies such as speed, cost, spr, and dpph.focus on channel allocation optimization, on-road operation projects, and overall operation improvements.minimum qualifications3+ years of program or project management experience.3+ years of cross-functional experience with tech and non-tech teams.3+ years of implementing process improvements using data and metrics.bachelor's degree.advanced knowledge of excel (pivot tables, vlookups) and sql.experience defining program requirements and using data for improvements.fluent in english (speaking, writing, reading).over 3 years of end-to-end delivery experience with communication to senior leadership.experience in process improvement initiatives.stakeholder management skills across organizational levels.experience in process building, project management, and scheduling.our inclusive culture empowers amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
