About the role
rohm semiconductor is seeking an experienced electronic data integration (edi) specialist. The edi developer plays a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining electronic data interchange (edi) solutions that enable seamless data exchange between our organization and external partners. This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and security of edi transactions, which are vital for supply chain operations and business communications. The edi developer collaborates closely with cross-functional teams including it, operations, and business stakeholders to analyze requirements and implement scalable edi integrations. They will also troubleshoot and resolve edi-related issues promptly to minimize disruptions and maintain data integrity. Ultimately, this role ensures that electronic business processes run smoothly, supporting the organization's operational goals and partner relationships.
minimum qualifications
* bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
* 5 year's industry experience
* proven experience in edi development and support, including working with edi standards such as x12 and edifact.
* proficiency with edi translation software and tools (e.g., ibm sterling integrator, cleo, or similar).
* strong knowledge of edi protocols such as as2, ftp, sftp, and van.
* experience with scripting or programming languages such as java, python, or sql for edi customization and automation.
preferred qualifications
* experience with cloud-based edi solutions and integration platforms.
* familiarity with erp systems such as sap, oracle, or microsoft dynamics and their edi modules.
* knowledge of api integration and modern data exchange formats like xml and json.
* certification in edi technologies or related fields.
* experience working in agile development environments.
