this team member will possess strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement.responsibilitiesprocess development and optimization: develop and optimize manufacturing processes to achieve production goals, improve quality, and reduce costs.implement lean manufacturing principles and practices to enhance efficiency & productivity.design and layout manufacturing workstations, equipment, and processes to ensure optimal workflow.equipment and tooling management: specify and procure manufacturing equipment, tools, and fixtures.oversee the installation, calibration, and maintenance of production equipment.work with suppliers to ensure equipment and tooling meet specifications and standards.production support: provide technical support to the production team to resolve manufacturing issues.conduct root cause analysis of production problems and implement corrective actions.continuous improvement: lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement.project management: manage manufacturing projects from concept through implementation.develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.health and safety: ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the manufacturing environment.implement safety improvements to reduce risks and prevent accidents.requirementsbachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field.proven experience (5+ years) in manufacturing, preferably a tier 1 automotive supplier.strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as assembly, molding, and automation.proficiency in cad software (e.g., autocad, solidworks).
