Job description
vev ee test and sign off engineer is responsible for managing the electrical system, subsystem and component sign off testing. The engineer will work, manage and/or conduct the testing in tpvs/mules, breadboards, hil, test benches and vehicles.
responsibilities
* manage and conduct system, subsystem and component verification testing and signoff of electrical systems, software and features at applicable gpds milestones (fdj, pec, fec, etc.).
* definition of robust, efficient ee sign-off dvp at un and up phases, jointly with electrical, software and features engineering teams.
* definition of properties (tpv/mules, breadboards, vehicles) required to support test plans efficiently and within program budget.
* support electrical work, sw flash and module configuration during tpv/ mules build.
* lead, coordinate, and execute ee testing and sign off.
* lead root cause analyses, resolution path and re‐dvs in case of dv failures.
* create, revise and approve test reports/evidence (concur on test acceptance criteria), and publication in corporate systems (fede) on time and with integrity.
* work with the key stakeholders (d&rs, smes, laboratories, suppliers, etc.) during the entire signoff process (dvp, test methods, assessment discussions, issue resolution) to achieve a successful milestone delivery.
* work with core engineers and suppliers to improve testing procedures and manufacturing processes to ensure quality in test execution and evaluation.
* work with dvm/tm and requirements authors and core engineers to improve them (create them) in terms of representativeness, robustness, efficiency and customer satisfaction.
* propose new test technology, test solutions and simulation methods and work on the implementation to make efficient the current testing.
* work under lean principles, innovation with purpose to implement process improvements and generate global best practices.
* create and standardize processes, implement metrics and keep the work in an improvement loop.
qualifications
* bsee/bsme or related is required.
* understanding of vehicle electrical architectures and powertrain systems.
* understanding of vehicle communication protocols (can, can fd, ethernet, lin).
* excellent oral and written communication skills (spanish and english).
* excellent organizational and prioritization skills including ability to multi‐task.
* enjoy both \"hands on\" and analytical environment, working on test activities in the laboratory, garage, and test tracks.
