Stucki de méxico is seeking an experienced import & export specialist to manage daily foreign trade operations and ensure compliant and timely execution of import and export processes.
this position is responsible for coordinating customs documentation, logistics follow-up, regulatory submissions, and internal cross-functional communication to maintain operational continuity and compliance with mexican foreign trade regulations.
role overview
the import & export specialist will execute end-to-end import and export transactions, ensuring proper documentation control, coordination with customs brokers, and regulatory compliance. The role requires close collaboration with purchasing, finance, warehouse, and external trade advisors.
key responsibilities
* manage daily export operations, including bol processing, invoice coordination, and follow-up with customs brokers until final clearance.
* execute import operations from usa, china, and india, ensuring complete documentation (invoice, packing list, mill certificates, certificates of origin, supplier documentation).
* support weekly and monthly virtual operations (pedimentos virtuales).
* coordinate freight quotations and transportation services (land and maritime).
* monitor cross-border shipment documentation and laredo crossings.
* support annex 24 & 30 inventory reporting in coordination with external trade advisors.
* assist with immex compliance requirements and regulatory follow-up.
* prepare and submit documentation through vucem, including manifestación de valor and automatic notices.
* maintain organized foreign trade files for audit purposes.
* support audits and inventory processes when required.
profile requirements
bachelor’s degree in international trade, logistics, business administration, or related field.
3–5 years of experience in import & export operations within a manufacturing environment.
operational knowledge of:
* mexican customs law
* immex program
* annex 24 & 30
* vucem
* customs documentation and freight coordination
intermediate to advanced english proficiency required.
strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple operations simultaneously are essential.
