Plant director job description
leads and directs all plant operations to meet performance goals of the business through appropriate management, delegation, and mentoring of departmental managers.
key responsibilities:
* acts as ambassador of corporate initiatives and guidelines for proper deployment and implementation in the plant.
* determines and administers plant policies ensuring consistency with overall corporate policies.
* recommends and approves major purchases of equipment, materials, and supplies for the facility.
* reviews expenses, material usage, and capital to ensure cost-effective operation of the plant.
* provides direction and coordinates the preparation of the plant budget.
* determines and sets annual goals and objectives for departments aligned with meeting business plan/metrics.
* analyses overall plant performance to target and implement actions maximizing results.
* fosters a continuous improvement culture leading team-based operations.
* ensures quality standards are implemented and met.
* collaborates with sales and product management to optimize customer relations and plant productivity.
