About the role:
we are looking for a junior marketing specialist to join amalga's in-house team. This person will focus on social media, content creation, and supporting brand initiatives. The role is ideal for someone early in their career who wants to gain experience across digital marketing, copywriting, and basic multimedia production.
because amalga works closely with u.s. clients, this role requires exceptional english skills—both written and spoken—and the ability to create professional content tailored to english-speaking u.s. audiences as well as spanish-speaking audiences in latin america.
responsibilities:
* write blog posts and social media copy aligned with amalga's brand.
* manage and execute posts across social platforms, maintaining the social calendar.
* support seo efforts through keyword-optimized content and copywriting.
* draft email copy for internal and sales campaigns.
* create and update presentations using canva.
* make minor updates to the website via hubspot.
* capture and edit basic photos and videos for social and internal use.
* collaborate with other teams to support marketing initiatives as needed.
* learn amalga's business and industries where it operates, in order to write smart copy for social and blogs.
leverage ai tools (e.g., chatgpt, grammarly, canva ai) to streamline content creation and editing while maintaining high quality.
requirements:
* 1–2 years of experience in marketing, social media, or content creation (internships included).
* excellent command of written and spoken english (c1/c2 level). Must be able to produce error-free business and marketing copy in english.
* strong writing skills in english and spanish.
* ability to adapt tone and style of writing to different audiences (u.s. vs. Latam).
* basic understanding of seo and keyword usage.
* comfort working with multicultural, u.s.-based stakeholders.
* high attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines.
* familiarity with canva and willingness to learn hubspot.
* interest in photography and video recording/editing.
* based in monterrey with occasional travel availability.
* preferred but not mandatory: experience working as admin in hubspot sales and marketing platforms, or similar crm
as part of the application, candidates will be asked to:
* submit examples of live social media posts and/or blog posts you've written (send links to live online posts)
* record a short video introduction in english.
* complete a brief skills exercise to demonstrate copywriting ability.
