job responsibilities:
* perform maintenance operations and tasks on the fleet of vehicles and ground support equipment, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and modifications.
* diagnose, repair, modify, and inspect vehicles and ground support equipment, identifying faults and executing necessary repairs.
* adjust machinery to ensure safe and efficient operation.
* complete required documentation such as vurr, vagis, and famis forms.
* maintain a clean and safe work area complying with company and osha standards.
* provide guidance and supervision to technicians and trainees as needed.
* take primary responsibility for project work execution.
* manage maintenance materials inventory levels.
* communicate with fedex employees and suppliers regarding vehicle and equipment repairs.
* coordinate with u.s. suppliers and fedex corporate departments related to vehicles and support equipment.
qualifications:
* recent experience of six (6) years in fleet maintenance, automotive, heavy equipment, or trucks with gasoline, electric, and diesel engines, including relevant licenses and technical training.
* knowledge of operating various automotive and diagnostic tools.
* ability to work independently for extended periods.
* ability to lift and maneuver heavy vehicle components.
* experience in welding and basic electrical diagnostics is valued.
* valid driver’s license is mandatory.
