steam connect is seeking a skilled and dedicated solar installer to join our renewable energy team.
the solar installation engineer will play a vital role in installing and maintaining solar energy systems, ensuring they are installed efficiently and meet high-quality standards.
this position requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to environmental sustainability.
*solar panel installation*:perform the physical installation of solar panels, mounting systems, and associated components on residential or commercial roofs, ground-mounted arrays, or other designated locations.
*electrical wiring*:connect solar panels to inverters and electrical systems following design specifications and safety protocols.
ensure proper wiring, grounding, and testing of systems.
*roof assessment*:evaluate the condition of roofs and structures to determine their suitability for solar panel installation.
identify any necessary repairs or reinforcements.
*equipment handling*:safely handle, transport, and install solar panels, inverters, mounting hardware, and other equipment.
use proper lifting techniques and equipment to prevent damage.
*quality assurance*:conduct thorough quality checks during and after installation to ensure all components are securely and accurately installed.
address any issues promptly.
*safety compliance*:adhere to safety guidelines and regulations on job sites, including the use of personal protective equipment (ppe) and safe work practices.
report safety concerns or incidents immediately.
*documentation*: complete and maintain accurate records of installation activities, including photographs, measurements, and equipment serial numbers.
ensure proper documentation for warranty purposes.
*customer interaction*:interact with clients in a professional and courteous manner, addressing any questions or concerns they may have during the installation process.
*maintenance and repairs*:perform routine maintenance tasks and repairs on existing solar energy systems as needed.
troubleshoot and diagnose issues to ensure optimal system performance.

participate in training and development opportunities.
*requirements*:
- electrical engineering, mechatronics engineering, renewable energies engineering or equivalent.

- previous experience in solar panel installation or a related field is preferred but not strictly required.
- knowledge of electrical wiring and basic construction principles.
