Public area attendant/crew area attendant/night pa attendant/pool attendant/retreat attendant job summary
this is a luxury environment cleaning position responsible for maintaining assigned areas in a clean and orderly condition. The public area attendant/crew area attendant/night pa attendant/pool attendant/retreat attendant owns the guest experience by executing premium service and cleanness that is both exceptional and memorable.
key responsibilities:
1. maintain assigned areas in a clean and tidy condition by performing the following essential duties during scheduled shifts.
2. report to workstation assignments on time, properly groomed, and dressed according to established standards.
3. operate steam cleaning equipment, scrapers, brooms, and various hand and power tools.
4. clean public bathrooms, elevators, offices, corridors, public areas, and crew member quarters.
5. maintain, replenish towels, and amenities in the spa area including bathroom, lockers, showers, gym area, equipment, and reception area if assigned.
6. clean carpet, upholstery, floors, walls, ceilings, draperies, windows, and room accessories to remove effects of smoke, dust, water, and other damage.
7. apply fabric conditioners, protectors, deodorizers, and disinfectants to carpets, upholstery, and accessories.
8. dust furniture, wash windows, walls, ceilings, woodwork, and door panels. Polish brass and metal fixtures.
9. notify management of malfunctioning/maintenance issues in public/crew areas.
10. maintain cleaning supplies and equipment in good working order.
11. assist food service personnel in collecting soiled glasses, china, cutlery, etc., and transport to designated collection areas.
12. assist the room service team with delivering breakfast orders and collection/dish out process.
13. empty and clean wastebaskets and ashtrays, and transport trash to disposal areas.
14. transport guest luggage to assigned areas during embarkation and disembarkation.
15. handle ship stores on loading days, as scheduled by management and supervisor.
16. assist inventory teams with loading stores as assigned by supervisors.
17. assist on gangway/tender/pier operations as assigned by the supervisor.
18. debark operation assistance with wheelchair teams.
19. aware of, and/or acquire knowledge to comply with ship's standard operations to assist guests and crew members with inquiries.
20. attend meetings, training activities, courses, and work-related activities as required.
21. perform duties related to any opp (outbreak prevention plan) situations onboard.
22. assist in main laundry when needed or assigned by the supervisor.
requirements:
* more than 6 months of cleaning experience in a luxury environment.
* knowledge of using and mixing various cleaning agents and chemicals.
* ability to operate steam cleaning equipment, vacuum cleaners, and various hand and power tools.
* proficiency in spanish or european languages.
* excellent customer service skills.
