keep appropriate controls for tib declarations for us customs, to assure the proper mx law requirements are met for all goods imported or exported from or into mexico as part of the maquiladora program and to meet us law requirements for imports and exportsmain responsibilities & requirements include
coordinate and keep internal control for exports under provision 9813 (tib).
Annual fda regulatory update on vastera customs system.
Annual usmca certificates of origin for raw materials.
Assure compliance with bd sp reports, and assure compliance with ctpat monitoring reports.
Assist the customs coordinator on special projects.
Support for the annual update of vastera customs software.
Assisting with annual inventory.
Consolidate us customs manifests and invoices, and maintain import files based on record-keeping regulations.
Mx customs inventory control according to mx customs annex 24 – inventory control.
Mx customs inventory control according to mx customs annex 30 – vat import credit.
Harmony and unification in systems: vastera – mfgpro – physical inventory.
Coordinate with shipping and planning teams for special import and export requirements.
Coordination with the local transportation company for cross-border imports and exports.
Coordinate with the mcallen crossdock warehouse team on customs manifests and invoices required for imports and exports.
Coordinate southbound and northbound in-bond shipments.
Coordinate fda inspections with the us broker and crossdock for shipments imported into the us from reynosa.
Coordinate all documents and information required by us and mx customs to export/import materials from the united states and mexico.
Mandatory compliance with general and safety procedures applicable to this position.
Prepare and submit weekly import reports to mx customs broker.
Prepare and submit weekly import invoice reports to mx customs broker.
Timely renewals and control of all permits.
Request regulatory information.
Special tasks assigned to keep the vastera system updated (boms, costing, inventory control, etc.).
Incorrect information about statements not analyzed regarding discharges for the purposes of annexes 24 and 31 can lead to legal fines and cancellation of vat-ieps certification in foreign trade matters, as this activity is directly related to maintaining this certification correctly and in a timely manner.
Additional activities as required.education and experience
bachelor's degree in international business, supply chain management, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of customs regulations and trade compliance procedures.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in microsoft office and customs management software.
