we are looking for a talented and driven data engineer to become a part of a team that supports the c-suite and executive leadership of a top ten us insurer.
as a vital member of the team, your main responsibility will be to generate strategic analyses and practical recommendations for the c-suite and executive leadership at a top ten us insurance carrier. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in data analysis, statistical modeling, and data visualization tools, as well as previous experience in analytics firms and a solid educational foundation.

They proudly serve more than 10 million u.s. households with more than 19 million individual policies across all 50 states through the efforts of over 48,000 exclusive and independent agents and nearly 18,500 employees. Finally, our client is part of one the largest insurance groups in the world.
under their new long-term strategy, our client is looking to diversify their workforce skills and have therefore teamed up with capgemini to develop shared services centers of excellence in different locations outside the us. One of those service centers is related to strategic and business performance analysis to support executive leadership and the c-suite. The work done by this team will help determine performance against strategic imperatives and deliver insights to identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the client’s business functions like product and pricing management, distribution, underwriting.
as key member of this team, the business performance analyst's key responsibilities include:
* develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using tools such as power bi to track key performance indicators (kpis) and provide real-time insights to the c-suite.
* collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable analytical solutions.
* stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in data analysis, visualization, and predictive analytics.
* act as a subject matter expert on data visualization tools and techniques, providing guidance and training to internal stakeholders as needed.
* drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data quality, accuracy, and accessibility.
the essential skills and experience of the ideal candidate include:
* bachelor's degree in engineering from prestigious institutions like iit, nit, dce, nsit, bits or equivalent.
* minimum of 3 years of experience at analytics firms such as exl, accenture, musigma, fractal, tredence, etc.
* experience with programming languages such as r, python, and alteryx is a plus but not required.
* experience in data manipulation, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics.
* demonstrated expertise in data engineering tools such as power bi, tableau etc. — will work mainly in powerbi.
* understanding of the business and operations of a top-tier us property and casualty insurer is a significant plus.
