To control maintenance of company vehicles and gse through fedex vehicle technicians, cms administrators and commercial shops ensuring that fleet requirements are met in a timely and efficient manner and properly reflect corporate standards. Essential responsibilities selects, trains, develops, and motivates a staff of cms administrators and technicians; administers annual operating expense budget. Evaluates training requirements and programs for mechanics and administrators through in-house courses, manufactures, and various training companies. Evaluates effectiveness of commercial garage services and implements improvements or changes as required. Inspects the fleet’s mechanical, paint, and body condition to ensure compliance on a regular basis. Provides vendors and technicians with work instructions of necessary repairs and ensures that the repairs are completed on a timely basis. Ensures that vehicle accidents are in the body shop within the specified time limit and ensures repairs are completed in a timely manner. Maintains accurate records in accordance with corporate and regulatory requirements and monitors warranty stipulations so that all moneys to which are entitled will be received. Trains stations personnel and vendors on all paperwork concerning vehicle maintenance. Inspects and accepts new vehicles and equipment and arranges for the disposition of vehicles when being deleted from the systems through the vehicle project administrator. Other duties as required.
