Position summary
the electrical design engineer will develop electrical design hdlc units such as inrow cdu and inrack cdu, as well as 2 phase products. He/she will closely follow objectives of quality, environment and costs while working in cooperation with manufacturing engineering, controls engineering, procurement, suppliers, mechanical engineering, and product marketing.
responsibilities
* design new and low voltage electrical enclosures (>240 volts ac).
* harness design, schematic creation and 3d modeling of wiring and cabling inside equipment.
* experience with creo cabling module is preferred.
* select appropriate electrical components that meet agency requirements (ul, nec, csa, ce).
* collaborate with other groups, including mech engineers, firmware & software developers, system test, customer support, and manufacturing.
qualifications
* 8 years of experience in hardware development roles.
* more than ten years of expertise with product lifecycle management (plm) or product documentation management systems.
* fluent in english.
* demonstrated proficiency in drafting functional requirements and preparing design documentation.
* skilled in using creo schematics or equivalent schematic capture software.
* hands‐on experience operating dmms, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic instruments.
* capable of executing project schedules throughout hardware board development lifecycles.
* adept at debugging, validation, and supporting manufacturing test processes.
* proven ability in designing for testability and manufacturability.
* strong communication and interpersonal collaboration skills.
* reliable team members exhibit a consistently positive attitude and creativity.
