alten mexico is a subsidiary of the alten group, a global leader in engineering and technology consulting.job summarythe body d&r engineer will be responsible for the engineering, design, development, timing and production release for some of the following functions: body-in-white / body closure sheet metal and hinging / fascia/bumper / underbody shield and wheel liners / cladding & flares / body exterior (moldings, badges, decals and vents) / front lighting / ee & signal lighting / fixed glass/ wipers /fuel door components /systems from initial design concept through full volume production.qualificationsbachelor degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering or equivalent5-8 yrs of engineering automotive component experience designing and developing on the following: body in white, closures, or exterior systemscad experience with unigraphics nx, catia v5 and teamcenter in a production release environment biw (body in white)knowledgeable regarding high strength steels/ aluminum forming processes, weld parameters and gd& texperience with oem or supplier on design and releaseexperience/knowledge with design failure mode & effects analysis (dfmea) and design verification plan & report (dvp&r) and validation plansbom's creation and editionknowledge and experience with composites and composite production processesrelease experience in both mechanical and electrical componentsworking knowledge of designing for emc (electromagnetic compatibility) and esd (electrostatic discharge) design/preventionprior exposure to automotive lighting specifications and standards an asset; electronics specificationsexperience with design for six sigma (dfss) and/or reactive green/black beltbiw in-plant launch experienceexperience designing and developing injection molding, painting, and decorating plastic class a componentscae/computational fluid dynamics (cfd) knowledgeexperience leading technical teams successfully across varied levels of management and between oem and supply baseexperience regularly presenting to upper management for issue resolution decisionsknowledge or experience of can/lin bus and circuit analysisexcellent ms office skills (word, powerpoint, excel, and outlook)catia v5 knowledge is a plusknowledge of casting and injection molding processes is a pluspossibility of traveling, valid passport, and visa preferableenglish advanced.closingif you are a results-driven individual with a passion for body design engineering, we would love to hear from you.
