we are seeking an experienced optometrist to join our telehealth program based onsite in mérida, mexico. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality eye care services to patients.
about the role
* perform manual or digital phoropter refractions with accuracy and precision.
* support u.s. clinics via secure telehealth systems, ensuring seamless communication and efficient patient care.
* guide patients through comprehensive vision assessments, providing expert advice and guidance.
* document results in electronic medical records (emr), maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient information.
* work in a clinical, structured on-site environment, collaborating with other healthcare professionals as needed.
key responsibilities
the successful candidate will be responsible for:
* providing high-quality eye care services to patients, including refractions, vision assessments, and emr documentation.
* supporting u.s. clinics via secure telehealth systems, ensuring timely and efficient communication.
* maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, using emr software to document results.
* collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
requirements
to be considered for this role, you must have:
* an optometry degree recognized in mexico.
* a minimum of 1 year of experience in refraction or clinical settings.
* strong english language skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
* a willingness to work on-site in mérida, yucatán, mexico.
* the ability to train in hipaa, emr, and telehealth systems.
