Government and public affairs manager – mex lead philips’ government and industry engagement in mexico, turning policy insight and stakeholder relationships into clear actions that strengthen trust and enable sustainable growth in health technology. Your role: own and execute the mexico government and public affairs (gpa) engagement plan, aligning priorities with business, legal, compliance and communications. Build and maintain relationships with relevant public‑sector stakeholders and industry bodies, supporting meetings, follow‑ups and stakeholder mapping. Represent philips in trade associations and external forums, coordinating positions, tracking commitments and ensuring consistent, compliant messaging. Monitor and interpret legislative, regulatory and public procurement developments; deliver concise updates and practical recommendations to internal teams. Support issues management and sensitive topics through disciplined coordination, documentation and stakeholder engagement, helping reinforce philips’ external positioning in mexico. You're the right fit if: you’ve acquired 6 years of experience in government relations, public affairs, public policy, or institutional relations in mexico (individual contributor; no people management required). Your skills include stakeholder engagement, policy/regulatory monitoring, advocacy planning, strong writing (briefs/talking points), and cross‑functional coordination in a matrix environment. You have a bachelor’s degree in public policy, political science, international relations, law, economics, communications or a related field. You must be able to read/analyze complex documents; communicate clearly in meetings and in writing; and travel for meetings as needed. You’re a high‑integrity, self‑directed professional who is discreet with sensitive matters, confident representing the company, and comfortable working with ambiguity. Fluent spanish is required; professional english is required. Healthcare/medtech/pharma experience is a plus, not a must. How we work together we believe that we are better together than apart. For our office‑based teams, this means working in‑person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full‑time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations. This is an office role.
