job description
we are looking for a payments gateway specialist
key job responsabilities
* negotiate preferential terms and commissions with banks and payment service providers (psps).
* implement and manage direct agreements with acquiring banks (bbva, santander, banamex), reducing reliance on intermediaries.
* ensure reconciliation processes are well-structured, operating correctly, and that any inconsistencies are promptly detected and resolved with the responsible teams.
* propose and implement improvements to increase approval rates and reduce chargebacks, fraud, and errors.
* identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities through ongoing analysis of the payment journey.
* evaluate and coordinate the implementation of new payment methods (bnpl, wallets, spei, etc.) aligned with business strategy.
* monitor transaction security in collaboration with technical teams and fraud prevention tools (e.g. Signify).
* ensure compliance with slas for support and issue resolution from gateways and banking partners.
* prepare reports and kpis related to performance, conversion rate, payment methods, and associated costs.
* collaborate with operations, it, billing, and customer service teams to align improvements across the entire value chain.
* participate in the preparation of commercial events (e.g. Hot sale), ensuring operational readiness and up-to-date agreements.
requirements
bachelor's degree is needed (finance, accounting or engineering).
2+ years in quality monitoring, or customer experience related roles (gateways and or market places).
proven experience on ecommerce.
excel usage.
english level advanced.
