about the role
* to plan, organize and execute all operational activities within a specific area in a manner that provides optimal service to customers, ensures timely departures of aircraft, and maintains high productivity while controlling costs.
* selects, trains, develops and motivates team members. Controls manpower by planning, organizing and scheduling to maximize efficiency and meet performance targets.
* reviews daily station performance reports to monitor progress against goals.
* coodinates operations with other departments including system control, hub management, station supervision, vehicle administration, aircraft maintenance etc
* coodinates trucking procedures during emergencies, bad weather or inadequate lift capacity situations.
* develops contingency plans for equipment failure or other unexpected events.
* ensures compliance with fedex policies, government regulations and security protocols.
* supervises subordinate personnel according to corporate policies and procedures.
