Overview
Under indirect supervision, he is an expert capable of providing support in routine activities of manufacturing processes related to metalworking products, solving problems and providing training support to production operators and other related operators. Provides support to the engineering team, regardless of conducting experiments with new materials, equipment, products or participates in activities related to process improvement.
Qualifications / Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Toolmaker in a high-precision manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on knowledge of CNC programming, EDM, and various machine tools including (but not limited to) lathes, mills, grinders, and jig borers.
- Advanced understanding of blueprint and process sheet interpretation, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T;), and high-precision measurement tools.
- Experience designing tooling using CAD/CAM software.
- Strong analytical skills to identify quality or performance issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement effective solutions.
- Proficient mathematical abilities, including calculations involving decimals, ratios, and trigonometric principles.
- Comprehensive knowledge of material properties for tooling and fixtures used in different manufacturing environments.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for precision machining.
- Detail-oriented and methodical, ensuring accuracy and high-quality work in all tasks.
