purpose of the job
the t&c engineer / technician is responsible for the execution and successful completion of the t&c activities related to a railway signalling subsystem (e.g. Ixl, atc, dcs, ertms, scada, ene,…) or telecommunications subsystem (e.g. Red, cro, vid, tli, son, tel, wifi, tetra, …). This must be achieved following project strategy, company policies (including ehs, railway safety, local regulation and professional standards) and project qcd targets. Carry out the test of trains in accordance with the testing procedure and as per the delivery schedule. Ensure that the site/project implements the ehs requirements in order to comply with the ehs indicators and the environment, health and safety regulations. Supervise and control all activities related to environment, health, and safety (ehs) and civil protection in coordination with project specialists.

mission
performance measurement – productivity (according to project schedule), conq (non‑quality costs), no deviation to ehs rules, number of punch points in hand‑over to t&c reports / customer reports.
main responsibilities
* prepare t&c work: 4‑m checklist four weeks before starting the activity; ensure availability of material, sites, design documents, calibrated tools, trained resources, ehs activities, special processes, conq, and ehs (zero fatalities, severe injuries).
* coordinate ehs training for all workplaces; investigate incidents and accidents; implement azdp directives; provide daily and weekly reports to prim and prcom; ensure productivity in line with quality standards and schedule.
* understand the acceptance criteria of the customer for the project/product.
* supervise installation execution on the field and on board; support installation workers; carry out systematic hand‑over from v&v, sig & com.
* respect test procedures; ensure all serial test procedures are covered and completed; manage repairs of failures immediately; trace each failure accurately; if deviations remain unresolved, escalate to the epu test manager.
* propose process improvements.
* work in a team spirit and transparency across shifts.
* maintain interfaces with test engineering leader/engineer/technician, quality/installation workers.
* escalate any non‑up‑to‑date testing tools.
* be aware of kpis and performance on the respective kpis.
qualifications
* mandatory: minimum licensed degree in engineering or equivalent (preferably electronics or embedded systems) or equivalent experience of 1‑2 years in the t&c field.
* desirable: scholarship dedicated in the railway industry.
* experience: minimum 1–2 years in industrial activities related to electrical, control, onboard communications & network systems within process industry, railways or factory automation.
* good level in english.
