job description
the forward deployed engineers (fde) team is a fast‑moving automation and ai squad within the cybersecurity direction, focused on solving real business challenges through intelligent automation.
the team builds and maintains the automation platform, the core framework that orchestrates automation workflows across the organization.
working side‑by‑side with the business analysis team, fdes design, deploy, and optimize automation solutions that drive measurable impact.
operating under an agile and value‑driven culture, the team acts as a bridge between technology, operations and business teams, ensuring that technological implementations translate directly into business outcomes.
responsibilities
* design and implement automation workflows using the automation platforms.
* collaborate directly with analysis and business team to identify automation opportunities.
* develop reusable “actions” or components that extend the automation orchestration framework.
* integrate ai/ml modules for data extraction, document analysis, and intelligent decision‑making.
* develop and connect apis with internal and external systems.
* optimize and monitor aws infrastructure for reliability and scalability.
* apply agile methodologies (scrum, kanban, scrumban) to deliver incremental value.
* participate in cross‑functional sessions to define requirements and validate results.
* monitor, debug, and enhance production workflows.
* contribute to the continuous improvement and roadmap.
requisites
* experience: 3–5 years in software development, automation, cloud or devops; at least 2 years involved in rpa, ai/ml, or intelligent automation.
* previous environments: experience in digital transformation or technology delivery teams, collaborating closely with business owners and process analysts.
* previous roles: software engineer, automation developer, devops, ai developer, or cloud engineer.
* key activities:
o design and implementation of end‑to‑end automation workflows.
o api integration with internal and external systems.
o deployment and monitoring of cloud‑based solutions (preferably aws and elastic).
o active participation in agile ceremonies and continuous improvement of reusable components.
* programming languages: python (intermediate–advanced), javascript/typescript (intermediate), and scripting in bash or powershell for automation tasks.
* automation: experience with automation platforms such as power automate, automation anywhere, or internal orchestration frameworks for workflow development and process automation.
* ai/ml: basic knowledge of integrating nlp, llms, or predictive models through apis and sdks (aws ai services, openai, etc.).
* apis & integrations: design and consumption of restful apis; experience with json, and authentication mechanisms (oauth2, jwt).
cloud & devops
* hands‑on experience with aws services (lambda, ec2, s3, cloudwatch, api gateway, ecs/eks, sns, sqs, eventbridge).
* infrastructure as code (iac) using terraform, aws cloudformation, or aws cdk.
* ci/cd implementation with github actions or aws codepipeline.
* containerisation with docker and orchestration using aws ecs services.
* source control and collaboration via git and branching strategies.
monitoring & observability
familiarity with cloudwatch, elastic for system health and performance tracking.
methodologies
agile practices (scrum, kanban), experience working in cross‑functional and fast‑paced environments focused on continuous delivery and improvement.
