About the role:
as business development manager, you will play a key strategic role in identifying, evaluating, and executing growth opportunities through in-licensing, out-licensing, strategic alliances, and new project development. This position has a direct impact on the company's competitive positioning and long-term growth across the region.
key responsibilities:
* identify and evaluate business opportunities that strengthen and expand the company's product portfolio.
* conduct in-depth market research and analysis of local and international pharmaceutical markets to uncover commercial opportunities and emerging trends.
* assess innovative technologies, business models, and products aligned with corporate strategy.
* develop and execute comprehensive business cases, including financial analysis, profitability (roi), and risk assessment.
* lead technical, legal, commercial, and financial feasibility studies for new product introductions.
* represent the company at pharmaceutical trade fairs, conferences, and networking events to build strategic partnerships.
* oversee the end-to-end execution of business development projects, from opportunity assessment to product launch.
* manage and control the department's budget, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
* collaborate with cross-functional teams (quality, regulatory affairs, supply chain, patents, commercial, and business intelligence) to ensure project success.
* act as the key liaison with corporate headquarters for the identification and approval of new business opportunities.
education:
* bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, or in a related field.
* master's degree (mba) preferred.
experience:
* at least 5 years of experience in a similar role within the pharmaceutical industry, leading new business development, licensing, or strategic alliances.
language(s):
* advanced english proficiency.
skills & knowledge:
* in-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical market (local & international).
* understanding of regulatory and compliance processes.
* strong financial and business case analysis skills.
* excellent project management and negotiation capabilities.
* proficiency in excel, power point, and crm platforms (salesforce, xperbit, ai).
