we are looking for enthusiastic junior electrical engineers with a passion for the oil and gas industry to join our team as junior electrical engineer and estimator. In this role, you will have the opportunity to assist with estimation tasks and gain hands-on experience as a project controller at project work sites.
*responsibilities*:
- assist with electrical and instrumentation estimates: support the estimation team in preparing accurate estimates for projects within the oil and gas industry.
- collaborate with estimation and project team: work closely with senior team members to identify pre and post-tender issues and ensure comprehensive project understanding.
- client communication: assist in communicating with clients during the tender process to fully comprehend the scope of estimates and maintain clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- subcontractor coordination: support in communicating with third-party subcontractors as necessary to ensure all aspects of the estimate scope are covered.
- bid review and cost analysis: participate in bid reviews and post-project cost reviews to optimize project performance and profitability.
- site walkdowns: accompany senior team members on site walkdowns to gain insights into project scopes and requirements.
*requirements*:
- educational background: degree in electrical engineering or related field is preferred.
- technical skills: basic proficiency in microsoft office, including excel, word, and outlook. Ability to interpret various drawing packages in industrial and commercial sectors.
- work environment: willingness to work in a dual role where estimation tasks will be completed from the home office, while project coordination activities will be carried out at project work sites.
- time management: strong time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
