Lead, financial planning and analysis – systems operations
this role is within chamberlain group's finance group. A successful incumbent is expected to (i) lead the analysis of monthly overhead spending and costing results; identify trends and consolidate reporting for operations leadership, and (ii) oversee development of financial models, monthly forecasts, and annual budget for all operations; support corporate reporting and planning requirements by providing all necessary cost information for operations. Requires 7-10 years of financial planning, analysis, budgeting, financial modeling and forecasting experience and a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
* serve as finance lead/business partner to the systems operations leadership in meeting their business and financial objectives; provide regular reports of key performance indicators; identify variances from expected results, risks to projected performance and opportunities for improvement; present and communicate to senior leadership
* manage the systems accounting close and reporting processes to ensure timeliness and accuracy; provide management and quality control over the close process; review trial balance reports to ensure completeness of accounting entries
* manage and prepare annual financial budget and monthly forecast for all of systems manufacturing; aligning interdependent functional groups to produce an integrated, combined and by plant plan (factory labor and overhead, capital expenditures, rework, and scrap)
* manage and prepare inventory reporting. Development of annual budget and forecasts, tracking of actuals versus budget and forecast. Track doh and dos to drive proper strategic management of inventory levels and cash flow
* oversee accuracy of the manufacturing reporting package and kpis; provide insight and analysis on month, year to date and full year results; compare actuals to budget and forecast
* play key role in development of standardized reporting between systems and cg as well as cost accounting procedures for proper make vs buy analysis
* play key role in manufacturing productivity and capital allocation process; use rigorous analysis of data to provide leadership with real-time awareness of operating trends and areas for improvement; review roi analysis on all proposed capital expenditures to ensure reasonable payback; perform postmortems on significant expenditures to ensure financial benefit has been achieved
* work closely with sales and planning teams to help drive efficiencies in operations and controls over inventory management, spend controls and margin requirements
* support the internal, external, and tax audit process through the preparation of schedules and supporting documentation, coordinate with auditors on related issues and findings
* create and maintain processes to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, gaap, and local statutory and tax requirements for mexico and latin american entities
* serve as super user in safelite, power bi, sap/ecc and bpc; train, test, and assist in the development of new functionality
* protect chamberlain group’s reputation by keeping information confidential
* maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
* contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed

education/certifications:
bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
