about the role
you will be responsible for the delivery of high‑quality, on‑time, and within‑budget print and digital components for our elt courses. You will manage components and assets from final/developed content to handover of final files and go live, working across both internally resourced and fully outsourced (packaged) projects.
some editorial support may also be required during product/content development and post‑publication maintenance and updates. You will work closely with colleagues in publishing operations and across other functions as part of a project team, ensuring titles are delivered on time, to brief, and within budget.
role responsibilities
* manage the delivery team workflow of the course from approved manuscript through to publication.
* prepare manuscripts, design, media and digital assets for production, as required.
* participate in copy‑editing and proofreading stages, including checking, editing and finalising artwork briefs and audio scripts.
* work with publishing to create and maintain supplementary documentation including style sheets, page plans, archive handover documents and authoring templates as required.
* coordinate proof circulations and digital releases, collate multiple sets of feedback and capture resolution to queries.
* ensure that all tasks are completed to brief, taking responsibility to alert the project team to any issues/risks if needed.
* liaise between digital operations and digital content editors on delivery of components.
* manage the sign‑off of each course component.
* work with the project manager, senior managing editor and publishing to manage detailed schedules for all the components of a project or a number of projects.
* engage, brief and pro‑actively manage delivery team suppliers, as required and according to the needs of the project.
experience, skills & qualifications
essential
* educated to a degree level or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* knowledge of elt markets, publishing and/or teaching.
* strong organisational and editorial skills (copy‑editing and proofreading).
* knowledge of publishing processes for print and digital.
* experience of working across multiple regions in cross‑functional project teams.
desirable
* the ability to manage a varied workload.
* strong communication and negotiation skills.
* a recognised elt/efl qualification and/or teaching experience.
* the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
* experience of managing multiple components simultaneously in a publishing environment.
* willingness to learn and fully engage with company systems.
