Objective of the position: lead and develop aftermarket data analytics solutions such as predictive maintenance, failure prevention, parts sales analysis, parts planning and training analysis for daimler trucks. In addition, this position is responsible for identifying business opportunities to apply descriptive or predictive analytics by assessing data availability, understanding stakeholder needs, and recommending analytical approaches that support informed decision-making and operational improvement. Implement statistic techniques to develop inferential and causal scenarios. Participate on design phases, and support project management from implementation to measurement of results from controlled experiments or proof of concept.
indispensable requirements
proficiency with at least python and r programing languages.
hands-on experiencie working with relational db: sql, hana, db2, hadoop.
knowledge of statistical data analysis and machine learning techniques (e.g. Baysian analysis, regression, classification, clustering, time series, deep learning).
data integrity and reporting quality utilizing best-practices and industry standards.
hands-on experience with visualization tools like spss, power bi or tableau

master of science in mathematics, applied mathematics, computer science, statistics, analytics or equivalent
main functions
develop predictive and learning (ai) models and new algorithms that can be used across aftermarket to improve the product, service, and business processes. Support stockpro and develop improvements to increase replenishment effectiveness (dealer).
coach aftermarket data experience team/ambassadors and manage multiple projects throughout organization related to digital transformation and business intelligence.
collaborate directly with stakeholders and subject-matter experts across functional areas to define use-cases and identify relevant data sources.
analyze available data and create reports and dashboards to generate internal business intelligence and enable data-driven decision making (in conjunction with dx ambassadors).
where applicable, use data visualizations to help demo and explain insights to key stakeholders and management.
