major responsibilities
* primary duties related to curriculum and teaching; assignment divided between lecture and lab classes as determined by the department.
* provide instruction in accordance with established curriculum and course outlines.
* maintain appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics.
* maintain current knowledge in subject matter areas.
* fulfill professional responsibilities of a part‐time/temporary faculty member.
* teach all scheduled classes.
* maintain accurate records.
* provide quality instruction, create and maintain an environment that emphasizes teaching and learning and encourages free discussion of ideas, interests and issues.
qualifications
* any bachelor's degree and two (2) years of professional experience directly related to the area of assignment, or
* any associate degree and six (6) years of professional experience directly related to the area of assignment, or
* equivalent experience; must demonstrate cultural competency, sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse background of community college students and staff.

applicants with foreign degrees must have coursework evaluated by a naces or acei member association; evaluation must be submitted with application.
conditions of employment
selected candidate must complete the following prior to employment:
* submit official college transcripts.
* provide certificate of tuberculosis exam (renewed every 4 years).
* have fingerprints taken by a live scan computer at district expense; clearance must be received prior to first day of employment.
* present original documents proving eligibility to work in the united states.
additional information
an employee may be transferred to any site at the option of the chancellor.
