Within this role you will be in charge of managing a group of Cockpit & Trim Design &Release; engineers for the development of world class forward model Interior System programs, from early design phases all the way up to final production.
Position Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Master's degree in engineering or business preferred.
• 5 years of PD Engineering experience, specifically in GPDS forward model programs
• Thorough understanding of Interior component designs and experience with interfacing systems (Exterior, Electrical, P/T, EV).
• Advanced problem solving skills and high technical aptitude
• Demonstrated history in successfully leading cross functional teams
• Natural ability to build productive relationships, achieve cooperation, and influence priorities of technical experts and other key partners
• Ability to manage/resolve urgent launch concerns
• Strong skills in project planning and management - experience in managing large complex projects.
• Strong oral/written communication skills to lead group projects, issue resolution, and management reviews
• Demonstrated ability to apply engineering disciplines for failure mode avoidance (FMA).
• Strong leadership skills, passion for quality, passion for customer – inherent self-starter with strong drive for results
• Position requires simultaneous management of multiple complex and urgent issues
• Demonstrated proficiency in engineering disciplines: DVP&R;, DFMEA, 8D, Process Controls, Reliability, and System Engineering Fundamentals
• Knowledgeable in GPDS: UNVx, TDJ/TDC, DCV, PEC/FEC, and launch process.
• Proficient in WERS, AIMS, AVBOM, BSAQ, GPIRS, DVA, and TeamCenter Engineering.

• Responsible for D&R; of Ford US and Mexico engineering
• Responsible for high quality delivery to GPDS milestones
• Absolute focus on delivery of robust designs and failure mode avoidance by applying engineering disciplines including DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, PDP and ES specifications.
• Responsible for overall design leadership to meet vehicle attributes including cost, weight, quality and functional attributes
• Responsible to lead, review, and approve, cockpit and trim designs to ensure delivery to component ES, and vehicle requirements
• Responsible to resolve all durability, assembly, and functional issues identified
• Coach, technical mentor, and guide engineers within Section
• Deliver focused MCR, TVM, Warranty reduction, and benchmarking of cockpit and trim components
• Return to Office 4+days per week in GTBC Mexico Office
