as a financial accountant ii you will ensure timely and accurate financial information is produced in order for the company to meet established goals and objectives while ensuring statutory requirements are adhered to.
what you will be doing
* preparation of monthly financial information for two or more entities including management accounts.
* handle trial balance and maintain balance sheet reconciliations.
* calculation of cost-plus revenue.
* ensure that all portfolios follow local statutory requirements (vat returns, statutory financial documents, ct returns and all other filings) in accordance with local legislation & timelines.
* partner with local financial advisors to ensure efficient information flows and accurate local accounts.
* ensure all processes are sox compliant.
* weekly cash-flow monitoring and reporting.
* coordinate with external auditors at both group and local levels.
* assist with forecast and budget preparation.
* support the finance manager with relevant information requirements.
your profile
* bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
* qualified accountant with at least 5 years of experience in similar roles.
* advanced to bilingual proficiency in english (spoken and written).
* strong excel skills with data analysis capabilities.
* experience with oracle financials or other erp systems is a strong plus.
* excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear insights.
* proactive and able to work independently.
about the role and requirements
general ledger manager (sap expert) is featured as part of process and cross-functional team leads responsible for the design and ownership of gl process deliverables and capabilities to meet business requirements. Essential functions include knowledge sharing, process standardization, and coordination with it and project leadership.
* share expertise related to finance operating models and process structure.
* foster standardization of manual je and reconciliations processes.
* propose recommendations to address business needs for the gl process.
* lead sessions with diverse operational teams and coordinate process redesign.
* define required it capabilities for future processes and maintain status updates with project leadership.
* propose risk mitigation actions and operational/strategic kpis and reports.
entry requirements
* bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, business administration, or related field.
* at least 6 years of experience managing or leading general ledger processes.
* experience in end-to-end (e2e) implementation projects.
* bilingual spanish/english with at least b2+ level.
* process improvement certifications.
