Our analysts are instrumental in Wood Mackenzie's purpose to transform the way we power our planet.Main ResponsibilitiesWe are looking for an Analyst to work as part of our Research team covering base chemicals like benzene/styrene and polymers, within the Oils and Chemicals segment.You will have relevant experience, skills or knowledge that you can apply to the role, allowing you to contribute to our research from day one.
Your existing knowledge will enhance our coverage as you develop your career.Research and data gathering – we identify and gather intelligence that feeds our industry expertise.Analysis - we provide market-leading research using this data/intelligence and form opinions for, and tell stories to, our customers.Internal engagement – we work with colleagues across the Wood Mackenzie business to deliver a compelling, integrated view of the natural resources sector to customers through our cutting-edge products.External engagement – we proactively connect with our customers and contacts in the industries we serve, adding value and promoting the Wood Mackenzie brand.Continuous improvement – at Wood Mackenzie, we are committed to transform the way we power our planet.Your day-to-day responsibilities and tasks will be focused around the areas of:Leading analysis and client engagement for base chems/polymers, with clients based globally.Conducting thorough research to produce reports, data models, and presentations.Being a primary user for Wood Mackenzie's proprietary models and technology.Forecasting supply and demand as well as balancing and pricing for different products.Collaborating with other teams to make short term and longer-term forecastsPublishing written reports and presentations for clients on the WoodMac portal.Engaging in primary research and respond to customer inquiries.Building relationships with industry stakeholders and enhance market research coverage.About YouYou are an economist or an engineer in a relevant area such as chemicals.
