the events manager is responsible for planning and executing conferences and events within the hotel.
main responsibilities:
* to maximize revenue opportunities through up-selling of function items.
* to ensure high-quality event management practices, including building relationships with customers to secure repeat business.
* to manage daily operations and activities to implement a sales strategy that yields meetings and events space.
* to develop the meeting & events team members to maintain high-quality standards for relationship building, customer service, and billing.
* to build strong relationships with customers, guests, and team members to understand their needs and work effectively to serve them.
* to accurately administer and control all meetings and events-related reservations and blocks.
* to ensure accurate information is relayed to the food and beverage operations team to facilitate ordering and rostering.
* to attend sales events as required and support other properties within the cluster as needed.
* to review business plans, identify gaps, and proactively address capacity issues to meet set targets.
