job description job summary
mps is seeking an energetic, efficient, self‐motivated, and resourceful team player to be our senior accountant, providing accounting support, reporting and analysis. This position works with members of the finance team domestically and internationally and will also partner sales and sales operations on various projects and processes. The senior accountant reports to the senior accounting supervisor.
responsibilities
* lead the worldwide credit review activities, coordinating with process support.
* evaluate customer financials and make recommendations, ensure timely processing.
* analyze ar concentration risk, customer balances, credit limits, and payment performance.
* lead customer standby letter of credit and other credit support and payment terms processes.
* assist with trade compliance process and various other compliance related activities.
* provide support for internal control and audit testing where applicable.
* identify and develop solutions for business process improvement where applicable.
* various ad‐hoc project support.
qualifications
* 5+ years of experience in accounting.
* bachelor's degree in accounting.
* fluent english, strong verbal and written communication skills.
* advanced experience with microsoft excel.
* ability to problem solve and research on special projects as requested.
