Wine director role
we are seeking an accomplished professional to oversee the wine program and provide exceptional guest experiences.
main responsibilities:
* develop, manage and execute the wine portfolio in alignment with culinary vision and guest preferences.
* curate and maintain diverse and high-quality wine lists.
* collaborate with chefs to design harmonious food and wine pairings for menus and special events.
* oversee wine procurement, vendor relations and inventory management to ensure proper storage and handling of wines.
* conduct staff training sessions on wine knowledge, service techniques and tasting skills.
* design and implement wine-related events and promotional activities to engage guests.
requirements:
* minimum 5 years of experience as a wine director or head sommelier in a luxury hotel setting.
* extensive knowledge of wines, including mexican and international varieties.
* relevant wine certification from a recognized institution.
* exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
* fluency in english language.
* bachelor's degree.
* strong customer service orientation and attention to detail.
