The role is focused on ensuring product integrity, reliability, and change control for released ocs products across assigned product lines. Role purpose functions as a technical resource and owner for released products and standard processes across value streams. Serves as a subject‑matter expert in engineering, improves product performance (cost, quality, service), and leads product teams to resolve performance and customer‑related issues while ensuring fit, form, and function. Key responsibilities clarify, understand and document product specifications and product applications. Lead and serve as sme in products and in the use of tools such as doe, spc, sqc, oee, and other performance excellence processes. Ensure fit, form, function through qualification test plans, design control, and change approval while balancing speed to market and profitability. Respond timely to customer and commercial requests for product changes. Provide leadership in problem solving, technical expertise, and troubleshoot short‑term process and equipment issues. Mentor junior engineers and guide maintenance personnel. Lead disciplined projects across multiple stages of innovation for new products, processes, cost reduction and capacity improvement initiatives. Document and lead areas of the manufacturing and/or technical roadmap; protect and contribute to intellectual property. Introduce new products, configurations, and technologies. Partner with product development (fast) on rapid adaptations of released products. Develop sme knowledge of material, process, and/or equipment in focused areas of manufacturing or engineering. Document and communicate product and process risk assessments, impact, and resolution proposals. Coordinate product launch, debugging, and initial runs of new product. Required experience / education bachelor’s degree in a technical area (mechanical, electromechanical, or engineering). Minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing, development, product, or process engineering. Belt training (green or black belt). Lean fundamentals. Broad manufacturing and engineering experience. Project leadership from scope to implementation. Technical proficiency and problem‑solving skills. Collaboration, communication, adaptability, and leadership skills. Personal development orientation. Proficient use of microsoft office applications (word, excel, powerpoint). Proficient english written and verbal communication.
