Employee relations latam lead

*position summary*:
responsible for driving employee relations management throughout latam, guaranteeing adherence with regional employment laws and fostering a positive work environment. Acts as a primary contact for union discussions and collaborates with internal teams and legal advisors to address and resolve ambitious workplace matters.
*key responsibilities*:
- create and implement employee relations policies and programs in accordance with local and regional labor regulations
- serve as the main point of contact for union dialogue and collective bargaining across the region
- advise and support leaders, hr, and legal partners in addressing sensitive matters such as workplace behaviour, performance concerns, and conflicts of interest
- coordinate responses to legal claims, involuntary separations, and workplace investigations
- foster a culture of engagement by facilitating training and mentor for managers on standard methodologies in conflict prevention and resolution
- build trust-based relationships with collaborators at all interpersonal levels to ensure clear communication and shared goals
*required skills*:
- demonstrable experience in employee relations or a comparable hr function, preferably in multinational settings
- demonstrated expertise in conducting union negotiations and maintaining constructive labor relations
- solid knowledge of mexican labor law and an understanding of regulatory frameworks across latam
- ability to navigate sensitive workplace issues with integrity and discretion
- outstanding teamwork skills to work cross-functionally with legal, hr, and compliance teams
- competence handling involuntary terminations and managing the complexities of labor disputes
- outstanding communication abilities in both english and spanish, with a focus on partner engagement
*desirable skills*:
- previous exposure to the pharmaceutical sector or other regulated industries
- team leadership experience within hr or employee relations functions
- familiarity with case management systems for labor matters
- formal training or certification in labor negotiation or mediation
